Acoustic Gunshot Detector for Soldiers

The PEARL Acoustic Gunshot Detector, developed by Metravib Defence, is a compact and robust solution tailored for infantry and dismounted soldiers in direct contact with the enemy. With intuitive operation and precise acoustic detection, PEARL identifies the origin of incoming gunfire, enabling rapid decision-making in high-stakes environments.

Key Features

Easy to Use, Compact, and Robust

With no calibration required and a built-in test, PEARL is simple and reliable. It has an embedded processing unit without cables, a lightweight design, and just three buttons, all while meeting MIL-STD compliance.

Accurate Detection & Classification

PEARL detects and classifies 5.56 mm and AK47 rounds up to 300 m, 7.62 mm up to 500 m, and 12.7 mm up to 800 m. It also provides a 75 m bullet miss distance indicator for immediate threat awareness.

Suitable for Operations

Engineered for any environment, PEARL works in urban or mountainous terrain, filters outgoing and friendly fire, and runs on AA batteries with long autonomy. It continues tracking shooter locations even after movement.

Interoperable

PEARL mounts easily on any rifle or Picatinny platform and can transmit shooter data — range and caliber — to ISR systems via serial communication, ensuring full battlefield connectivity.
